Jerrold Stevens, AV Consultant joins us to share the story behind his wildly successful ‘AV Install Nightmares’ Facebook group.  Show Notes: Interview Guest: Jerrold Stevens Release Date: October 25, 2014 Running Time: 39:16  AV Shop Talk was pleased to welcome Jerrold Stevens onto the show for this episode.  Jerrold is a long time AV industry veteran, with quite a pedigree to his name.  Like many of us in the industry, Jerrold initially came from a musical background.  However like the twists and turns of many early AV careers, his work took him in a different direction.  Jerrold is now the principal of his own consulting firm, ConveyTech Consulting LLC, where he literally travels the world providing his services.  In fact currently he is contracted on a large project in Dubai! Through the daily experiences of his work in the field, Jerrold began to take notice of many cringeworthy installation practices.  Whether the effort was to spread awareness, or simply for a good laugh, Jerrold was compelled to start a Facebook group as a means to share photos of the general sloppiness he was coming across in his travels.  Originally intended as a place where perhaps 30-40 close friends could trade war stories, AV Install Nightmares struck a chord, and (at the time of this writing) has ballooned to 9,961 members! We encourage our listeners to check out the group.  It’s a great place to connect with fellow AV Professionals.
