September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Although September is nearly over I wanted to sneak in a quick episode relevant to Prostate Cancer. Prostate Cancer is the leading cancer in men after skin cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute 160, 000 men will be diagnosed this year with prostate cancer and upwards of 25-30,000 men will die from prostate cancer this year. Prostate Cancer accounts for nearly 10% of all new cancer cases diagnosed each year and 5% of all cancer related deaths. 10% of all men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point in their lives. If you have listened to this podcast before you know that I continue to highlight people I find remarkable as I start googling and digging these little rabbit holes of research that I do for this show. I continue to find new heroes. My heroes do not always glitter.
