He was friends with and biographer to Francis Bacon, writing extensively about many areas of his life and practice.   Recently Michael has curated an exhibition at Ben Brown Fine Arts in London, featuring the work of Frank Auerbach &amp; Tony Bevan; titled What is a Head?
