Tina Bock is an authorised ashtanga yoga teacher and lives in Abu Dhabi. In this episode she shares her journey of pregnancy, birth and postpartum recovery with her son James.Tina has been practicing and teaching yoga since her early 20s. She developed her connection with ashtanga yoga after moving to Abu Dhabi and not being able to find a teacher or studio. She has established a strong self practice, and travels to Mysore to practice with Sharath Jois.During her pregnancy, Tina continued to practice and travel during her second trimester. Her birth was unmedicated and a vaginal delivery, through her ability to say "no" as interventions were offered.After the birth of her son, living abroad, Tina missed having the support of her family. Tina is an International Yoga Instructor, Authorized Level 2 Ashtanga teacher by Sharath Jois. She was born and raised in New Jersey and is currently living in Abu Dhabi with her husband and fourteen-month-old baby where she has living for the last 5 1/2 years. She has been practicing yoga for over a decade and has just completed her sixth trip to Mysore and eighth trip to india to study yoga. She is a firm believer in always being a student and continually learning from her teachers. Tina has taught courses, trainings, workshops, mysore programs, and retreats in over twelve different countries around the globe since 2012. Tina is also passionate about teaching the practice of mindfulness and yoga to children and loves kids yoga. As her mother always likes to say, "she was doing back flips in the womb before she was born". Tina was first introduced to yoga as a teen, by her father in a headstand on the living room floor. While studying Music Industry at Ramapo College of New Jersey, Tina found yoga as a compliment to her dancing.
