Her mother is a senior Iyengar yoga teacher and her mothers passionate immersion in the tradition has been foundational to Naomi's own love of the practice. Naomi has had a dedicated daily practice in the vinyasa lineage since 2010 and completed her 200hr teacher-training at The Shala Cape Town Yoga School in 2016. Since completing her teacher-training, she has been teaching group, private and corporate clients. "I aim to integrate the alignment precision of Iyengar yoga with the fluidity of vinyasa yoga into their classes to provide students with a safe, intelligently sequenced and inspiring space from which to go deep into their practice." ABOUT DESHA 'desha' is the Sanskrit word for ‘space’ or ‘place’. Often used to describe the quiet inner space cultivated through mindfulness and meditation, we take it to refer to the internal spaciousness that props help you find in your yoga practice. Prop use is essential for helping practitioners build the strength, balance, awareness, and flexibility necessary for a safe and effective yoga practice. As far as possible, desha products are made from locally sourced, sustainable and non-toxic materials mindfully created to support and transform your practice. Desha stands behind beautifully designed, well researched and effective products that all embrace eco friendliness as far as possible in terms of product materials and packaging.
