Laurie Shiers is the Founder of Brainchild Coaching, a coaching company that seeks to help those with a creative mindset thrive professionally and personally. Her style of coaching revolves around letting her clients find the person they really wanted to be before the world told them what they should be. She is an advocate of finding the one path you wanted, but glossed over because of how the world works. Laurie is also the co-author of the book  Mindset Mondays, a user’s guide to rewiring their mindset.   Laurie joins me today to discuss how writing influenced the path she took in life and how being a creative led her to where she is today. She shares the flashpoints that made her pick up a pen and focus on writing. She describes the time she felt relieved to be let go from one of the largest tech companies in the US and explains how her brother’s death affected her mindset on life. Laurie also shares how having the wrong mindset can set you up for long-term internal conflict despite being showered with professional success.
