Trey Tijerina was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2010.  He had consumed cannabis recreationally, but it never occurred to him that he could use the plant to treat his medical condition.  Several years into his diagnosis Trey went through a period when he did not consume cannabis, and as a result his symptoms worsened and he wound up in the hospital multiple times.  He eventually resumed his cannabis consumption, but it took him a few months to connect the dots between the downturn in his health and no cannabis in his system.  It was then he began looking in earnest for a plant based treatment of his ulcerative colitis.  Thanks to a dispensary recommendation he found the answer in Rick Simpson's Oil (RSO).  He now controls his symptoms using only RSO which is no small achievement in a state (Texas) that prides itself on its "tough on drugs" policies.
