The fateful day has arrived for the first episode of the Jude &amp; Tonic Podcast! The Jude &amp; Tonic Podcast aims to give voice to artists, creators, and other beautifiers of the world to highlight what they are doing during the COVID-19 Pandemic to continue their crafts. While this is an especially lonely time for creative people, my goal is to keep us closer together while we must remain further apart, and remind us all of the joy of creation and finding beauty wherever we seek it.My inaugural guest is David Lindes; writer, singer-songwriter, and producer, and a dear, dear friend of mine. His work has been featured on PRI's The World and NPR's Alt Latino. Born in Guatemala City, he immigrated to the United States at age 9 and spent his adolescence in the agricultural communities of California’s Central Coast. He later graduated in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University. He lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and four kids. How do you make peace regardless of the other person’s actions?David Lindes, musician, producer and author shares the emotional roller coaster of facing his father’s abandonment. After he became a father himself, David has a life changing experience coming to terms with that abandonment.
