About The Author I am Mexican American. My parents were from two northern states in Mexico. I only have one sister who happens to be my twin. I taught for thirty-six years with the Chicago Board of Education. Although I was a Spanish bilingual teacher, I concentrated on helping students learn to read since I am a reading specialist.
