Jessica Bertoglio, DDS, graduated from The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2002. She continued her education with a hospital dentistry residency at the University of Iowa Hospital. During her residency she completed rotations in oral surgery, anesthesiology, and internal medicine. Treating medically compromised and geriatric patients during her residency expanded her knowledge and skills as she moved forward into general private practice. She has worked in private practice since 2003 and in 2014 opened The Toothery.   Dr. Bertoglio is confident in all aspects of general dentistry. Specifically, she enjoys embracing the latest technologies and innovations in dentistry, including restorative procedures with Cerec CAD/CAM technology as well as placing implants.  Mostly, however, she enjoys meeting and taking care of people. Getting to know her patients and their families is a highlight of her job. She maintains her license in good standing by regularly attending continuing education classes and meetings. As a member of the Illinois State Dental Society, The Chicago Dental Society, and the American Dental Association, she maintains the highest standards of continuing education to treat her patients in the best way possible. When not seeing patients at The Toothery, Dr. Bertoglio is likely to be found riding horses with her daughters or training for her next triathlon event. With a four-year basketball scholarship he graduated from Syracuse University in 1985; majoring in Chemistry and Psychology. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. He was also the co-captain of the 1984-1985 Syracuse basketball team. Dr. Spera graduated from SUNY Buffalo Dental School in 1989 in the top 10% of his class. At SUNY Buffalo Dental School he was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Society. He was also UB Graduate Assistant Basketball coach.  Dr. Spera has been in private practice since 1989 and is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Sixth District Dental Society and the Broome County Dental Society. He is also a member of the International Association of Orthodontics, the BC Dental Society and the BCDS Study Club. Away from the office, he volunteers with several community organizations, including the Elks Club, the Son’s of Italy, the STNY Flyers, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Basketball Coaches Association of New York. He is the founder and president of ME Hoops Inc. Dr. Spera currently resides with his wife Angela, whom he met at Syracuse University, and their three children, Marcus, Erica, and Carla. Dr. Jessica Bertoglio graduated in 2002 from the University of Illinois at Chicago college of dentistry. She started her own practice in Hoffman Estates, IL and understands dental anxiety runs deep. Her desire is to provide a fun and pleasant experience. She is able to achieve this with in office therapy dogs, a fantastic staff and many personalized touches. She and her husband spend their free time with 3 daughters traveling, riding and competing with their horses, and relaxing at home with their dogs.
