How my cancer diagnosis changed my life with Sally Kriel

At 38 registered nurse, Sally Kriel had a moment that completely floored her, she was diagnosed with bowel cancer. As a young mum with two small children, the news of her diagnosis was completely unexpected and after some serious reflection it caused her to change the way she viewed the world in order to create a pathway for recovery. She now is on a mission to help others who are experiencing a cancer diagnosis, through her blog, The Awakened Mumma and her brand new book, A woman’s guide to The Invisible Cancer Load. She believes when people receive a cancer diagnosis they enter into a new world of the unknown, and this book is a way for her to help others more easily navigate this. Sally - The Awakened Mumma. Sally is a mum, wife and a registered nurse.  In August 2018 Sally was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Luckily, they got it early enough but the road to recovery was not easy. One of Sally's key messages is that your mental health - directly impacts your physical health. Sally encourages us all to take small steps each day to maintain our mental health.  Sally has since recovered and is now actively helping mum's who are walking her path. Sally volunteers with the cancer support charity Bloomhill, and has began blog writing and offering support and coaching as the Awakened Mumma.  People struggling with health or cancer (or a loved one) need to hear this positive, encouraging story.
