It's so important for us to make a positive impact on the world and find a path in life that not only does this but also fulfils you. And whether you discover your purpose easily or need a little more time to navigate the journey, you will straight away feel more aligned and working in harmony with your mental and physical wellbeing. I'm incredibly excited to be joined by my wonderful friend and award-winning photographer, Briena Sash—Founder of Wellness Stock Shop, an online photography shop designed to supply wellness influencers with beautiful holistic photos which set them apart and elevate them as leaders in their industry. Briena knew immediately that the conventional way of making a living was not for her. She had a passion for travelling and taking her camera with her, so the idea of becoming a photographer came naturally. But she attests that her failures are what lead to her successes—and that there is actually no such thing as failures but merely life lessons and communications to help you grow. It was from here that Briena realised that portrait and wedding photography was not for her—something was missing, the wellness aspect. And she admits herself that, while doing this, she was out of alignment and felt as if she were trying to walk upstream against the flow of a river. With a new mindset and a goal to create Wellness Stock Shop, Briena focused on herself as a business person, and she understood that in order to succeed she needed to seek guidance, learn business skills and work hard to promote self-growth. From here, she was able to carve her own niche, thinking outside of the box and blending her skills as a photographer with her passion for wellness. I've had the pleasure of working with Briena on several projects, including Instagram graphics and my website templates. And it's incredibly rare to find such stunning imagery which covers a wide array of modalities, as well as having the opportunity to work with such a dedicated person who will handcraft holistic photos to help elevate your brand. This week we’re talking about how to use Instagram the right way to grow your health and wellness business. This episode was actually inspired by a recent thread in Wellpreneur Community on Facebook, where my today’s guest, wellness photographer Briena Sash, replied with amazing tips, techniques and strategies on how to use Instagram for wellness business. Many of our members found Briena’s insight super helpful, and I know all of our listeners would too. Running a successful Instagram account is definitely not just taking photos of what you’re eating and all places you are, because if you want to be effective you really need some strategy behind it. Briena shares how at the beginning even as a photographer, she herself approached Instagram the wrong way, and talks how she later shifted her strategy and branded her feed by following three pillars of Instagram success: inspire, educate and engage.
