Kieran Bingham was apart of the second group of students at Hobsonville Point Secondary School, starting in 2014 with just 2 year groups, Kieran shares his experience being at a brand new school, building the school culture and what sport was like. Kieran graduated in 2019, and was the Head Boy at Hobsonville Point Secondary. Kieran was also the starting Point Guard for the Senior team, which won the Under 19 League 1 North Harbour Championship. Kieran shares his experience of his final season at high school and what it was like to win a championship.

Hobsonville Point in Auckland has taken community spirit to whole new level.After becoming dissatisfied with the lack of ferry services over the weekend from Hobsonville to the CDB, they have voted to part fund a ferry service out of their own pocket.Auckland Transport, NZTA and Urban Development Group HLC will also contribute to the service.Chris Aiken, CEO of HLC, told Kerre McIvor that it is a sign of how Auckland could run things in the future. He says that it is a change from the norm where people are taking control of their own community."Let's not just complain, let's actually contribute."LISTEN TO CHRIS AIKEN TALK WITH KERRE MCIVOR ABOVE
