This week’s programme features Nonkululeko Gobodo, she is the Executive Chairman of Sizwe Ntsaluba Gobodo the largest black audit and accounting firm and the fifth largest in South Africa. We discuss some of the challenges women have to contend with in male dominated professions and the need to derive more equitable solutions to allow women to make their contributions to society and the economy. We address the importance of dreaming big and fulfilling ambitions through perseverance. In leadership we acknowledge that gender stereotyping must be overcome by employees to accept the characteristics of strong women leaders; the responsibility leaders have towards their employees’ livelihoods; the significance of pursuing growth and new directions to remain competitive and prevent stagnation.
