Fellowship, Partnership, and Mission in London with Andy Harker and Alex Brito

Hello! Greetings and thanks again for listening to Into the Pray!  Today we're glad to be able to introduce you to Andy Harker, one of Nick's closest friends all the way back from university days!After three years on a church pastoral team, Andy moved with his family to Kenya to spend almost 7 years working alongside iServe Africa, an indigenous ministry helping to raise up gospel workers through ministry apprenticeships.Andy is now the Director of 9:38 and we're all the better for our friendship with him and regular times on the phone talking, reading and praying.You can watch the very short 9:38 promo video that Andy refers to at the beginning here. Today we turn to the middle of our Bibles and the wonderful book of Psalms. With our forming view of "all the prophets" (Luke 24:27) slowly pulling into focus, we begin to consider the multifaceted type of Christ that is King David, the man who was raised on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel (2 Samuel 23:1).Many thanks to Andy for helping us this week as we consider the many unique ways in which David was a foreshadowing forerunner of Jesus the Messiah. Christopher Ash will be joining us next month to help us with our second part of this focus on the Psalms. We’re in the seminar tents from REVIVE 2019 for the next few weeks as we hear talks on a huge variety of topics. We start today with Richard Perkins and Andy Harker. Richard Perkins is the director of church planting for Co-Mission, and Andy Harker is Director of 9:38. He’s also leading a cross network project called the London Church Planting Academy. Andy and Richard were talking about how we can all be involved in Gospel Ministry whether or not we are looking into full time ministry.
