For the fourth episode in the first series, I’ve spoken with the incredible Michael Anastassiades.  Michael is one of my favourite designers, so it was a real honour to speak with him about his career to date. I could honestly have spoken to Michael for hours as he has such a wealth of knowledge about the industry and I feel very grateful that he took the time to share some of it with me.  A Cypriot-born, London-based designer, he is well known for his timeless designs that include lighting, jewellery, audio equipment, furniture and many other beautiful objects.  It was amazing to see that even when you have such a vast array of achievements you can still aspire to more whilst teaching others to help them in their path.   www.michaelanastassiades.com | @michaelanastassiades | @studiomichaelanastassiades  www.inntw.co.uk | @ifnotnowthen_when | #INNTWstories

We kick off the 2020 interviews with my first guest - designer Michael Anastassiades. Michael shares with me his creative journey with the 80s as a starting point of our conversation - the time when Michael studied both engineering and design and wasn't satisfied with either. Things changed in the early 90s when Michael got his house on London Waterloo's Lower Marsh and started to split his time between teaching art, designing "psychological" objects and... being a yoga instructor. The decades that followed saw him grow to become one of the most loved lighting designers, creating minimalist pieces through his own studio practice as well as collaborating with renowned brands such as FLOS.  You will love Michael's story, his humble manner, and fascination with creativity.
