Download Link  Matt McMonagle If you haven’t pushed yourself out of your comfort zone in a while, then this episode is for you! Matt is a professional freelance photographer and videographer. He has been living out of his van with his girlfriend Megan for nearly 300 days, traveling across the United States, before deciding on taking a break from the vanlife and move back home to Orondo,WA. Matt left the comforts of his dream job as a Manager at a fast growing startup in San Francisco called CreativeLive, in order to see all 50 states and decide where he would like to live next. He knew he wanted to move out of San Francisco, but he didn’t know where to. What better way than seeing for himself what the U.S has to offer he thought. Matt &amp; Megan have been documenting their journey on the road on their blog called TheDirtyDarlings.com. Ultimate freedom on the road opens up opportunities for adventure, but also creates some challenges. Matt shares what he learned from living life on the road on a consistent basis. He shares why too much freedom later turned out to be work and exactly a permanent vacation. “Comfort is overrated” – TheDirtyDarlings It is well known that you grow the most when you are stretching yourself outside your comfort zone. Matt gives great exercises and specific examples of what he does to break out of his comfort zone and pursue discomfort intentionally! He shares what he does to nurtures opportunities for creativity and how getting bored can be the answer! Sometimes routine is what you need to get your creativity juices going! After working closely with Chase Jarvis, the founder of CreativeLive, Matt shares what it is like working with him and what it felt like in the early days of the fast growing startup.
