Conquering mountains is quite an accomplishment yet sometimes the mountain is not high in the sky and sometimes it lies very low and unnoticed. Bullying is a steep mountain to navigate when all you wanted was acceptance and inclusion. Katheryn Menne has transversed a journey of bullying, low expectations and low vision since her childhood. She has used the services of State Services for the Blind and has landed a job as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Katheryn tells her story and she knows that the mountains ahead are coming with her changing vision, but she also knows that she can overcome any challenge she will face as the lessons from her pass has made her more confident than she had ever expected.  Join us as her story unfolds and her outlook grows.  Full Transcription   State Services for the Blind of Minnesota We offer tools and training for employment and for helping seniors remain independent and active. As Minnesota’s accessible reading source we also transcribe books and other materials into alternative formats, including audio and braille.
