Another amazing opening at the HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles, Ca. Bronx-born photographer and filmmaker Lisa Leone came of age in the 1980s with hip-hop and a camera. Her candid portraits capture iconic hip-hop artists at the early stages of their careers including Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige and A Tribe Called Quest.We were lucky to have DJ Jermey Sole bring some of this music to the opening night. We just hit record .... and here are the results. HVW8. Quantic) have spent years digging through dusty crates of Central and South American vinyl, constantly in search of fresh beats and breaks.   Yet Holland is more than just an old-school enthusiast, as he's fronted countless projects with different artists, musicians, and aims...the Tru Thoughts label has asked KCRW's Jeremy Sole to take a closer look at Quantic's entire body of work.
