This conversation was one for the books! Shaman Maisha shares stories from her sexual liberation that set her on the spiritual path of Tantra and Shamanism. She explains how tantra and shamanism integrate, touches on how we can each use our erotic energy for healing, and addresses the importance of representation in spiritual, energetic work that originated from Black and brown communities and their rich traditions and practices.  Maisha is warm, funny, compassionate, and just has something about her... I hope you get as much out of this conversation as I did. --   Maisha Najuma Aza, MSW, and Tantric Shaman is founder of Black Girl Tantra and A Life Alive Consulting.  Maisha became a sexual healer out of a desire to help other black women and non-binary folks, who have experienced body shaming and social stigma, to own their sexual desires, heal from childhood trauma, and use their erotic energy as medicine and fuel for their vision!   Maisha's nonjudgmental and loving nature, allows people to feel comfortable talking about sexuality and spirituality.  Her healing justice and social activist background, help her to remain both spiritually and socially grounded for her clients' healing. Maisha is certified in Integrated Healing Arts, which has allowed her to merge all of her healing certifications and practices, from Massage Therapy to Social Work, to Tantra Sacred Intimacy, and more. Maisha loves nature, travel, and sci-fi/fantasy, and fosters a sex-positive, body-positive, atmosphere at home with her wife and almost grown children.
