#21: Church On The Move Pastor Blake Zimmerman sits down and touches on many different topics. If you listen to this show you will walk away with something impactful and something you will be able to implement in your own life. Growing up Blake did not always have an idea of what he wanted to do. However, when he got to college Blake remembers a shift towards becoming more intentional. After college Blake took a job and he and his wife enjoyed the DINK (Double Income No Kids) life. Blake was working in the business sector before he made the jump into ministry. He talked about that leap of faith in depth and how challenging it is to step away from the culture of the American success narrative that can many times hold us captive. He also mentions how he goes about discerning what direction to take and how it is vital to have people in your life that help you through that process. Right around the same time of trusting God and taking that leap of faith, Blake's wife Sydney was severely injured in an accident and life-flighted to the hospital. Blake talks about the emotions in those moments and trusting God. He touches on a few other challenges and how he worked through those and relied on the Lord. Blake poses some great questions to reflect upon such as: where is your attention? How has God continued to arrive in your life instead of focusing on what has gone bad? Are you living on God's terms or are you living on your own terms?
