Being a product based business owner takes a lot of creativity on all fronts- in your designs, in operations, your marketing and how your reach people and tell your story. Now there are so many different platforms and technologies it can be hard to know where to start or which platform to choose. On today’s Proof to Product episode with Dani Nagel, the founder of Dazey LA, we sit down to talk about the importance of finding platforms that work best for your creativity and that start your kind of conversation.  Dani founded Dazey LA as a fashion brand focused on empowering women through conversation and community. She intentionally built a business that supports her personal values. Each design is hand drawn by Dani and then manufactured to order in Los Angeles, California.  On today's episode, Dani and I talk about how her corporate and startup experience shaped her business perspective. We discuss sustainability, community building, and how Dani built Dazey LA from the ground up. Dani talks about how transparency and showing behind the scenes processes of her marketing and product development has helped her business. Dani is in the house!!!! Home girl is a Jill of all trades. She runs the clothing line Dazey LA, out of... you guessed it... LA! She also runs a coworking space, travels a shit ton, does speaking engagements, photography, the whole shabang. On top of ALL of that she is a swiss cheese lover and latte drinker. We get deep about all of the above and what it's like to be a female entrepreneur. She's inspiring and we love her!

Dani is a self taught illustrator, graphic designer, and photographer, as well as the boss babe behind Dazey LA. She  graduated at age 19 with a degree in fashion design, but as lover of both art and fashion she combined these two passions to make a career in apparel graphics.   For the past 6 years she has been designing for many notable companies both freelance and full time. Some of these companies include Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Forever21, Truly Madly Deeply, Mate the Label, Amuse Society, Gypsy Warrior, Show me your Mumu, The Laundry Room, Top Knot Goods, Electric West, Midnight Rider, Not Another Label, Current/Elliott, Macy's, Pac Sun, Hot Topic, and more.   While all that was great, her true goal was to have full creative freedom with a label of her own. After years of daydream and doubt, she took the leap and created Dazey LA.
