Stefanie Joyce joins CloudwatcherUno from Nashville where she has carved out a career as a songwriter on Music Row. Stefanie's 2021 single "Treasure" charted on Billboard (co-written and performed by Mary Heather Hickman ) debuted on country radio and was featured on the Bobby Bones show. Stefanie describes her music as the love child of red dirt country music meets music row. A new EP will be released in the summer featuring “Idle Hands” and “Love Thy Neighbor“.  Love the podcast? Talent vs. work ethic, the importance of a great story, and the wide demographic of Country music, this week’s Podcast features Stefanie Joyce. Born in Chicago, IL and raised in Vancouver BC, Stefanie was led to songwriting through a series of other passions in life. Coming from a musical family, she dedicated herself to the arts at a young age, specifically ballet. Making it her primary focus throughout her youth, she moved away from home in high school to train with the Alberta Ballet in Calgary. This is where she received her first musical instruction and started to develop an interest in country music. However, it wasn’t until an injury in her later teens that led her to pick up the guitar and try her hand at songwriting. Something clicked and her interest continued to grow so much that when she went to study film production in college, she found that the only thing that she was truly passionate about was scoring the music. This was when she fully dedicated herself to songwriting. After graduating, she took a trip down to Nashville to test the waters and the rest is history. A year and a half ago, she fully committed and moved down here with her husband. Being thousands of miles away from home, she has managed to thrive in Music City and her songwriting has become a true asset amongst the emerging music scene.
