This is followed by a discussion on Chennai’s zero-day problem and the approaches taken up to solve the same for the people of Chennai, including the promotion of rainwater harvesting techniques. We further discuss the concept of water body restoration, the process followed in restoring these water bodies, and the various projects associated with the same. He also explains the involvement of NGOs &amp; other organizations in the process of water body restoration along with the operation &amp; maintenance systems adopted once the water bodies are restored. Further, he gives his suggestions for cities which are facing similar issues w.r.t water body restoration and what could be the key point of action. At last, he helps us understand the skillsets required for restoring the water bodies as well as managing such a huge operation across the city.
