In this episode we are joined by Comeback Girl, Laura Izard. Laura’s story began on the beaches of Sydney, which she traded for London and a successful career in Recruitment and Talent Acquisition. After taking a career break to embrace motherhood, Laura talks openly about the fears, challenges and dilemmas she faced as a women returning to the workplace after several years away. After completing 'her returnship’ , Laura was inspired to help other women to make the same the transition with the benefit of her warts and all experience. And so, Comeback Girl was born. What started (and continues) as a blog has also become a book (Closing The Gap) and a podcast (Comeback Girl). Laura is adding new services and what she calls a “toolkit” for returning women to help them through both the emotional and practical challenges of returning to the workplace after an extended break.
