Summertime is usually associated with lots of outdoor activities like swimming. Swimming might be the most popular summertime activity during a hot summer. Every year area pools have to deal with a chronic shortage of certified lifeguards. Two years ago, Henrico CTE partnered with SwimRVA to train our Sports Medicine students to train lifeguards. Brock Covington graduated from our Sports Medicine course at the ACE Center at Hermitage just a few years ago and he has recently opened his own gym called Iron Built Gym.
