Chuck Otte, the Ag &amp; Natural Resources Agent in Geary County, stops by the studio to chat with us about the value of the Cooperative Extension System, not only in Kansas but nationwide. He is a past president of the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (2006-2007) and has a breadth and depth of experience that’s hard to match. He speaks at length about the value of listening, investigating and sharing information in order to help people – every day. A fixture on local radio and in the Junction City newspaper, Chuck tells us how he uses multiple avenues to stay in contact with the communities he serves. And we get to know about his lifelong passion for birdwatching. The Extension Files is a product of K-State Research and Extension, which is Kansas State University’s outreach and education system.
