The more stereotyped the people around you view you, the harder it is to be fully yourself.
A common guidance for Black children from their parents was to conduct themselves in a particular way, dress a particular way, act a particular way, and you'll be received in a particular way. If you dress and speak and act in a "proper" way, people will see your humanity.
Those that are privileged enough to not be stereotyped, can have more freedom in how they express themselves. And those that judge others through stereotypes, should open up to not judging a book by it's cover.

We can view the responsibilities we have, both as a burden, but also a privilege.
Every generation has problems of their own.
But realizing that the problems that we're facing today, are more often than not, significantly easier or better than the problems faced by those that came before us, should humble us.
And understanding that these problems are only lesser today than previously, because of the sacrifices of those that came before us, should make us be grateful, even of the problems that we face today.
