Alison Rankin has had a 20 year career across consulting and within corporate real estate teams in the oil and gas, and banking sectors.  In this podcast Alison talks about the diversity of roles she has had and how she has built her career starting as a graduate surveyor in private practice, to her current role as Global Head of Workplace Services at Schroders.  Alison and Michael debate the skills required for a career in corporate real estate and how being attuned to cultural awareness, strong networks, planning and good shoes all play their part.  Alison studied Economic and Social History at the University of Glasgow, gained a postgraduate qualification in Land Economy from the University of Aberdeen and is a Chartered General Practice Surveyor.
