In 2014, Lisa published her debut novel, Flying Shoes. Today we'll be talking about her second one, Summerlings, which is set in suburban Washington, DC during the summer of 1959.

Lisa Howorth was born and grew up in Washington, D.C., where her new novel is set in 1959. She is the author of the 2014 novel, FLYING SHOES, and she has written for the Oxford American and Garden &amp; Gun. Howorth taught art history at the University of Mississippi, receiving the Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts in 1996, and a MacDowell Fellowship in 2007.
