Here’s a little bit of Jim’s backstory. He served as an army officer with New Zealand artillery forces during the Vietnam War, then worked as a chiropractor in northern California. He was on a spiritual journey for many years before he met European nondual master Jean Klein in 1984. He finally woke up to the fact that he was not his ego “I,” nor any other thought or “story,” in 1995. Since then, Jim has authored a few books including End Your Story, Begin Your Life (Hampton Roads), The Way ofHarmony (Avon Books) and his newest book Untriggerable: Mastering the Love and Freedom that Heals our World. Jim has also taught at Esalen Institute and elsewhere. Krishnamurti, and then met European Advaita Vedanta (the nondual or direct path) master Jean Klein in 1984, who guided him to seeing the truth in 1995. His mission now is to guide others to the realization that awakening is centered in the heart, and is ever and only here, now. Our special guest is the Author of the new book End Your Story, Begin Your Life. Jim, a native of New Zealand, was on a spiritual journey for twenty years, beginning in 1975 with the teachings of J. Krishnamurti. Then in 1984 he met Jean Klein, a European and a master of Advaita Vedanta, the nondual path. Under his guidance finally awakened to freedom—freedom from the “I,” the “me,” and all its stories—in the spring of 1995. His mission now is to guide others to the same realization, but in a much shorter time. He teaches at Esalen Institute, in Los Angeles, and elsewhere and also offers private sessions.
