Hi Everybody! This week we welcome Dr. Delia Chiaramonte MD, MS. She's a friend and colleague, and practices integrative palliative medicine – a mind-body-spirit approach for patients with serious illness and their families. In her opinion Integrative medicine and palliative medicine share so many similarities in philosophy that they clearly belong together. Delia is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Palliative Medicine and also certified by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. Currently, she is Division Chief of Integrative &amp; Palliative Medicine at Gilchrist and  Medical Director of outpatient integrative &amp; palliative medicine for Greater Baltimore Medical Center. For 10 years she was associate director of the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Integrative Palliative Medicine with Dr. Delia Chiaramonte

Today we have two special guests, Sarah O’Leary, the owner of Mend, an acupuncture studio in Baltimore, Maryland. We also have Dr. Delia Chiaramonte from the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. She practices, Integrative and Palliative Medicine at GBMC and has formed a relationship with Sarah’s Acupuncture clinic. Together they are increasing the treatment provided for palliative patients by using some other techniques like Acupuncture to help their patients have a better quality of life while facing a serious illness.
