Hello! Its another beautiful Wednesday morning, which means another episode of LIFE WORK BALANCES is here! Today I had the chance to sit down with David Surratt, Dean of Students at Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA. David and I met a few years back at an ACPA conference, and finally found some time to catch up after reconnecting over twitter about a month ago. We talked about David’s career and his many moves around the country, the benefits of visibility as an administrator at a small college, and strategic searches for specific jobs that help increase someone’s marketability.We also talked about David’s love of softball, staying connected to his doctoral program cohort at George Washington in DC, the importance of having a supportive and understanding working environment, and maintaining a healthy relationship across distance.
