David has been practicing immigration and refugee law for over 30 years, and has taken the Australian government to task on its immigration policies and laws, including in several high profile decisions. Today we spoke about our immigration system and the enormous power of the executive arm of government, and why that should worry all Australians who care about the rule of law, justice and fairness. Inhumane immigration policy is largely bipartisan policy in Australia, so it is incumbent on us to force major political parties to give us a choice.
