THE MAIN EVENT “For me, it is always about the truth, no matter where that truth leads me.” – Kenneth Mains  Kenneth Mains was hired by Dan Hennen to give consultation about the allegations against David Crowley. On May 30th, 2019, Kenneth Mains sent Dan his full report. “I want to stress,” Mains explained to Dan in the report, “that the conclusion of which I came up with are my opinion. I looked at the documents as an unbiased observer of facts in order to come up with the conclusion.” Kenneth Mains had one investigative task, “Give my professional opinion as to the cause/manner of death and any additional factors that may have led to the deaths.” “I’m looking at this case with an unbiased view,” Mains wrote in his report, “as I do all of my cases. My first association with this case came via the police reports and crime scene pictures I received after being retained by the client.” Mains added if he were the lead investigator he would want to know as much as possible about David and Komel’s “upbringing, religion, schooling, education, family, manner-isms, hobbies, propensities, ect. As a consultant, I am and can only be concerned with the information provided to me. In this case we have three victims.” When I first read that last sentence, I wondered who was the third victim? Was Mains referring to Paleo? That would make the most sense. Surely, he was not implying that David was a victim too, right? “It is my opinion,” Mr. Mains concluded, “that the police are correct in their final conclusion of murder/suicide committed by David Crowley. If a cover-up by the police is something that individuals want to point their finger at, I will say this unequivocally did not happen. A conspiracy by that many sworn police officers with nothing to gain is preposterous and did not happen.” “It is obvious to me, “Mains continued, that David Crowley was diving into a downward spiral of madness. Whether this was from the pressure of having to create the “Gray Space” movie or because of his never-ending quest for exploring his beliefs and passions. I am not a psychologist or psychiatrist and will not venture out of my expertise to try to explain why he did this. That question may not ever be answered. Mains also described the collection and documentation of evidence as “extremely meticulous and documented very well in my opinion.” (Mains Report – pg.7) Mains believed funding for David’s project “somewhat faded out. By this I mean there were some investors, friends and associates of David and his project that bowed out or were forced out by David.” (Mains Report – pg.9) Regarding the blood writing, Mains wrote, “This is done to either stage the scene to look like something it isn’t, because it is the motive for the event or it is for shock value.” Mains also believed the incident was not planned, “This was an impulse not planned murder.” (Mains Report – pg.12) New podcast episodes every month!
