Christopher Vane co-founded Little Bear Sanctuary, a nonprofit farm animal sanctuary in Punta Gorda, FL, in honor of his late mother Ursula (which translates to “little bear” in Latin). They shared a common passion for animals and Ursula often dreamed of providing neglected, once-abused animals a safe haven.While originally from New York, Chris surprisingly started off with a career in human healthcare, eventually landing in Florida working as a real estate broker. When he met Randy, everything changed…for the better, that is! Their relationship sparked a new passion to live each day with purpose. After they got married, their desire to provide a better world for farm animals was greatly amplified. Together, Chris and Randy followed through on Ursula’s dream and established the Little Bear Sanctuary in 2017. Now, 160+ rescued farm animals call Little Bear Sanctuary home, and – thanks to Christopher’s compassion and dedication – each animal has been given an opportunity to experience love and freedom.Little Bear Sanctuary provides a permanent home for farm animals that have been abandoned or can no longer be cared for by the owner in order to allow them to live out the remainder of their lives in a cruelty free environment. After 10 years marketing for Major League Baseball and the NHL, Felicia Greenfield switched careers to work as an actor, producer, and philanthropist. As an actor, she can currently be seen in House of Cards, Homeland, in an upcoming Spielberg film, and countless commercials. As a philanthropist and mom, she is focused on child &amp; animal-welfare issues, speaking up for those who don't have a voice. She is currently co-producing, Good Girls Gone, a feature film based on a true story of child trafficking in the US - in the hopes that it will generate desperately needed awareness of the second-most-profitable criminal industry in the world. Felicia is an active board member with the Foundation for Education in Honduras, and Pillows for Paws in NYC. She is a long-term volunteer with ECPAT-USA - the domestic branch of the global anti-trafficking NGO. She also developed and runs Grandpa Dave's Creature Comforts with her two daughters to foster dogs, and to provide comfort items to the animals at the NYC ACC shelters. She also raises money for these items via the RescueMen USA initiative which she co-founded to promote the #AdoptDontShop message. In her spare time, Felicia trains as a martial artist, is a certified personal trainer, and plays the drums.
