God's Resting Place by Diane M. NeumannAre you passionate like King David for the presence of God? Do you cry out like Moses, “Show me your Glory God”? Do you know God is also seeking you to be His child with the same intensity you are seeking Him? We were created to be God’s family. God is calling you to a family gathering to celebrate with Him. It is a love festival joined through your love of God. He is continually inviting His people into His Resting Place.If you said yes to wanting this closer relationship with God, you may be asking how do I enter the Resting Place of God? This book describes how to enter the Resting Place. It also describes this Resting Place. Patterns in the Bible are explained concerning those who were able to travel into God’s Resting Place. It also points to patterns recorded in the Bible of those who turned their back on the Resting Place. These are warnings on what not to do. The book points to signposts along the pathway to entering God’s Resting Place.. So pack a journey bag filled with your faith and hope and find the pathway.Diane is a retired educator, having worked in grades 1-14. She served as a teacher, counselor, administrator and staff developer. Diane is a certified minister under the authority of Church Growth International of the Americas. In ministry she served 16 years as a spiritual mentor working with men and women seeking a Christian solution to addictions. For the last two years, the Holy Spirit has been leading her to write and complete books to help people who are seeking a closer walk with GodLife is a journey. if we let God lead us, it is a wild ride. There is no ending of this wild ride if one surrenders to God. Mine began in a hospital in Pensacola Florida where I think God stamped nomad on my crib. Before graduating high school, I had lived in five other states and attended at least two different schools at the three major levels. Transition, change, and leaning into family and God were regular occurrences in my early life. As an adult I have lived in three different states. I believe God has finally settled me in Illinois. I have lived in five different Illinois cities over the past 35 years.As an adult I have raised two sons as I served as a cub scout leader, a 4H leader, and a band mom traveling with our competitive marching band. I have served on parent run boards to support my children's activities and in little league refreshment stands. Off an on during this time I applied my biology degree to teach middle school and high school sciences. During this time I applied my love of art to having my first art show, dabbling in writing short stories about children and learning to play the piano.Professionally, I applied my Master's degree in counseling to primarily work with disadvantaged people of all ages. Sometimes I was employed in this field and other times as a volunteer. God took me on some interesting journeys as I learned the multiple ways people react to stressful situations. Through it all I served in my churches and spent many hours in my prayer closet with my best friend Jesus.God definitely has a sense of humor and keeps stretching those who love him. After retirement, I had no idea when I said yes to God I would be learning to worship like King David did! I think God took delight in teaching me. Then he moved me on to writing what he has been teaching me. These books are the results of intimate time I have spent with God in my prayer closet with King Jesus.
