But the Florentine mind of the Middle Ages went further than this: it believed, not only that the seven Liberal Arts were fully under the direct outpouring of the Holy Ghost, but that every fruitful idea, every original conception, whether in Euclid, or grammar, or music, was a direct inspiration from the Holy Spirit, without any thought at all as to whether the person so inspired named himself by the name of God, recognised whence his inspiration came. When you feel a school systems is not meeting your child’s needs what do you do? Tammy Glaser came to that conclusion and choose to home school her child with autism and later, her typical child. Many of us may view home schooling as an option that is not on the table. Concern with the work load and fear that we won’t do it right puts people off. Tammy Glaser tells Senior Dad Stan Goldberg what it is like to home school, what supports are in place, and how home schooling will not work for everyone, all the while encouraging parents to learn from her journey.
