In 2019, there have been over 245,000 laboratory-confirmed cases of influenza. This is not only a huge health concern but a massive impact on businesses with lost time. The best protection is immunisation. The Guild Corporate Vaccination Program has been operating in Queensland since 2016. Since its humble beginnings, the Program has seen enormous growth in 2019. The Program is an attractive alternative to the traditional workplace flu clinics as it removes the need for the employer to manage the logistics of onsite flu vaccinations. Employees simply book online and the Guild and the participating pharmacies manage the rest. Member support for the Program continues to grow as it is a chance to bring new patients into the pharmacy, many of whom become loyal patients returning with scripts and for their annual flu vaccine.
