Lynde Griggs co-founded Belle and Sparrows not-for-profit ministry to women 5 years ago.  Formerly a women’s minister, Lynde loved serving women and coupled that with a passion for missions, and Belle and Sparrows was born.  Belle (beautiful) and Sparrows – “What is the price of two sparrows – one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.” Matthew 10:29 Belle and Sparrows is women reaching women both locally and globally. They stand in the gap for the marginalized, teaching them skills, providing encouragement, and helping them to overcome trauma and find their worth in Christ.  There are many facets to the ministry, including mission trips, both local and international, job skills like candle making, bible studies, and more. Lynde Griggs: Co-Founder of Belle &amp; Sparrows, a Non-Profit forwomen, by women.- In Episode #82, Lynde Griggs shares with us how her life in ministry and missions ledher to co-found Belle &amp; Sparrows. At the age of 42, while serving on the churchstaff, Lynde felt the pull on her heart to propose an all women’s mission trip for herwomen’s ministry group. Within two to three months, she, with the support of herpastor and church, was able to assemble the first ever all female team of 24 womenthat spent one week serving impoverished women in Guatemala.- Lynde found herself as an empty nester having what she refers to as a crisis of faith.She knew that she was called to serve God’s people outside of the church, butquestioned why he would use someone like her to share the message. Although shefelt fearful and uncertain, she knew that God’s call for her life was greater than herself doubt.• She shares her personal steps for overcoming doubt and having Faith Over Fear1. Start with Prayer &amp; Discernment2. Share your calling with trusted people in your circle and ask for prayers3. Bypartnering with local organizations, volunteers are able to serve women transitioningfrom homelessness as well as sexually exploited and trafficked survivors.Internationally, Belle &amp; Sparrows provides the opportunity to teach women inGuatemala the necessary skills for gainful employment, and In Haiti, serve foster momsthat are caring for disabled and orphaned children. Nationally, volunteers can serveNavajo women in New Mexico, women in transitional living in Oregon, and expectingmothers at the pregnancy center in Waco, TX.The Stella project is the newest endeavor for Belle &amp; Sparrows.
