Danny Kallas and Mike Stanley, two of Chicago's most popular comics, have reached that point in their careers. I sat down with them discuss whether or not it's possible to sustain a standup career in Chicago, and whether or not Chicago will always be seen as a stepping stone to bigger and better things on the coasts. Hostess has filed for bankuptcy, Twinkie speculation is running rampant, and Stephanie Hasz and Danny Kallas join me to make sense of it all. On a very food-oriented episode, we cover Danny's love for Olive Garden, Stephanie's dislike of sweets, and my knowledge of kosher Dunkin' Donuts in the area. Stephanie quizzes me about my high school fashion choices, and reveals the only two books she was required to read in high school. Danny gives tips on eating for free. It's all very educational.

Live at The Whistler with Sean Parnell, Danny Kallas, Steinomite and Orca Team  We all wore sleeves.  Sean is the author of "Historic Bars of Chicago" and the man behind the site Chicago Bar Project. He's a nice man and a good patron and we like his kind. Danny Kallas is one of the Comedians You Should Know and made Merle and I laugh more than any comedian that has been on the show. He also walked 20 people. Listen to Danny. If you like him, we'll be very good friends. If you do not, well, maybe we'll find other things in common. Steinomite is fucking great. As soon as he finished his set I asked him back to the show.  Orca Team closed the show with a fantastic set. Sadly, the recording didn't sound too hot so I put a song of theirs on instead. I highly recommend seeing them, buying their records and encouraging them to order more t-shirts.
