Matthew Amendt grew up outside Pittsburgh, trained as a theater artist at the acclaimed Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, and now calls Paris home while working across the US and in Europe. As an actor he’s shared the stage with a number of stars of stage and screen, playing many of the young leading man roles in Shakespeare including Hamlet twice, the full arc of Henry IV and V for nearly 200 performances, Troilus, Cassius, Aufidius, Claudio, Lorenzo, Demetrius, and many more. As a writer, he was the first Dowling Fellow in residence at Annaghmakerrig, Ireland.
