For much of the past decade, Dian Jordan (The University of Texas Permian Basin) has been researching Stevenson’s singular life, gathering an archive, and laying the groundwork for a definitive biography.

Who's Harold Stevenson?

Dr. Harold Stevenson, Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan, discusses the concept of a child-centered society in the US, his participation in a program to study early childhood development in China, and differences in educational practices between the two countries.  Dr. Stevenson also discusses the Barefoot Doctor Program, a program of paraprofessional health care workers trained to work in communities in China.
