Earlier this month, measurement company Rentrak announced a deal with WPP that will see it purchasing Kantar Media's U.S. TV measurement business for $98 million in stock. Hetzel will discuss the company's OnDemand Essentials offering--a Web-based ASP service which measures and reports anonymous, aggregate VOD usage data, such as viewership volumes and trends, and which is intended to provide customizable reports designed to help better understand viewers' VOD content preferences (note: according to Rentrak, the service processes daily data from 45 million set-top boxes.
