An Internationalization Conversation with Tim Rezendes, Jonathan Mills, and Will Devenish from Osborne Clarke

Jonathan is an Associate Director in the real estate department at Osborne Clarke. He advises on a variety of property related matters, focusing on the alternative residential market including coliving, student accommodation, Build to Rent / Multifamily and assisted living / care. Jonathan is currently on secondment to Osborne Clarke’s office in New York where he is advising US companies on English legal matters and supporting their global legal projects. Jonathan is working closely with Osborne Clarke’s international offices and network of law firms around the world with their cross-border real estate and infrastructure projects. Specific to coliving, Jonathan advises companies in relation to international expansion but also their English real estate requirements. Together with his planning, finance, corporate, employment, IP &amp; tech, commercial and litigation colleagues Jonathan offers his coliving clients a managed service across all legal disciplines. Tim Rezendes, VP Legal - International, Osborne Clarke: He provides support and guidance for Osborne Clarke’s US clients as they extend their reach overseas working with a wide network of in-country experts across the globe to ensure a seamless service. He advises fast-growing companies from a number of sectors on both their initial market entry and across a broad range of cross-border issues as they continue to grow overseas. Tim has been integral to the launch and execution of Osborne Clarke’s fixed fee “In a Box” packages which provide clients with basic legal entry into key overseas markets for a budget on which they can rely. Tim has been working with US companies expanding globally for over ten years. He also previously led Osborne Clarke’s business development efforts in the firm’s Silicon Valley office prior to moving to New York in 2016 to launch Osborne Clarke’s East Coast office. He plays a key role in the firm’s international expansion team, business development strategy and is an active member of New York’s transatlantic community.
