A local home-grown lad from Taranaki, Zac competed at the Tokyo Olympic Games in the 400m and 800m freestyle.At the Games Zac swam a personal best and recorded a New Zealand record of 7 min 53 seconds in the 800m. To perform at your best on the biggest stage in the World is a testament to his ability to perform under pressure.When Zac started swimming, it wasn't something he enjoyed.
