Today we’re rereleasing our 2014 interview with actress Judy Fabjance. Judy’s show “Tales of a Stage 4 Cancer,” has its Los Angeles debut, Wednesday, June 17th, 8pm, at Second City Hollywood. Judy’s a former student of mine, as well as one of the bravest artists I’ve ever met. She performs her show with her wife Kelly Beeman. In this very personal, honest, and truthful interview Judy and I discuss finding miracles in the everyday things, the myth of selfishness, and the best answer I’ve ever heard to the question, “Why is this happening to me??” If you know someone who’s going through what Judy’s going through, or if you’ve gone through this yourself, well, this talk is for you. Judy Fabjance Comes to Second City Hollywood!

In this episode, Jimmy interviews Judy Fabjance, a well-known improv teacher at Second City, who recently created a two-person sketch show called "Tales Of A Stage 4 Cancer" with her wife, Kelly Beeman. The show is based on Judy's struggles with cancer and Kelly's experiences as a caregiver to Judy. Judy Fabjance. Judy is a former student of Dave’s, and has been performing with (and is a founding member of) GayCo Productions, a not-for-profit theatre ensemble that creates sketch-comedy revues based on gay/lesbian themes. Judy's studied at Second City, The Annoyance Theater, and Columbia College. Judy wrote and performed at Second City’s Skybox theater “Are You There, Judy? It’s Me Cancer,” and is currently performing her second show “Tales of Stage 4 Cancer,” about her undergoing treatment for stage 4 breast cancer.
