Jeffrey Mosher catches up with DAKC’s Executive Director, Dave Bulkowski, to discuss recent reports of Medical Rationing during COVID-19 :·       Recently, Disability Advocates of Kent County (DAKC) caught wind of “Medical Rationing” and discrimination against disabled persons occurring in Detroit area hospitals.·       These disabled members of the community are being refused COVID-19 testing and care, because of their disabled status, which is in direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).·       DAKC wants to make sure this is put to an end and it does not make its way to West Michigan hospitals·     In response, DAKC’s Executive Director, Dave Bulkowski, issued a letter to Grand Rapids area hospitals, reminding them of their constitutional obligation and thus ensuring this will not come to fruition in West Michigan.
