Attallah Shabazz is the eldest of the six daughters of Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz. She has devoted much of her life to civil rights and overcoming racism and oppression. In her address, she will focus on her father's primary role as a loving husband and father. Through her speaking engagements, she hopes to motivate and inspire people to improve their self-concept by better understanding their own history, the world around them, and their place in it. With Yolanda King, the eldest daughter of Martin Luther King, Jr., she founded Nucleus, Inc., a touring theater company whose productions encourage the audience to overcome obstacles and shape their own destinies.
