Lizette Valarino was a government employee when she had an idea of starting a scholarship fund for deserving students in her community. With very little funding and a lot of initiative, she worked with community leaders to create the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando. To date the organization has given more than $1.6 Million to over 300 students. All of this happened because one person thought it was worth the effort.
